In October 2022, former Sound Discipline Board member Kim Clarke hosted a heartfelt celebration of our co-founder, Dr. Jody McVittie. Sound Discipline’s other co-founder, Terry Chadsey, served as master of ceremonies for the wonderful gathering which was filled with love and joy.
Some highlights of the event included a staff skit, personalized Board and staff gifts, and a champagne toast to the one and only, Dr. Jody McVittie.
As we embark on our next chapter, please know that Sound Discipline’s capacity to innovate, learn, and refine our transformational work in partnership with schools and whole districts endures.
In Jody’s honor, we have launched a Fund the Future campaign. These dollars will advance the collaborative innovation that is at the heart of Sound Discipline’s evolving work in schools — towards growing programming from cutting-edge research in the field of social emotional learning and bringing it to educators and schools to improve the quality of education for all students.
Donations to Fund the Future are a demonstration of admiration and confidence in the work that Jody began 15 plus years ago.
